Characters in my story

After the tutorial, I clear that there are some problems for my character design. firstly, is about the Time fairy and the leading role Bob, as their appearances just look like the same, it is difficult for the main character to stand out. So I need to redesign the Time fairy's look.

Then, for the Monster "TIME", it is just bigger in size, but without rich facial expression as its head limited it's movements. Thus, I need find more reference and do the redesign for it.

Storyboard Ver3

This is the lastest storyboard, I find that the story is more interesting with more camera angles.

And the story content is just right and workable. So the next step is to make animatic to check the timming and those camera movements.

This time I find my story still complicated, for some shots are difficult to understand, and the story content is not make sense. Also for the camera setting of some scenes are too boring, I need to find more references for improving on camera angle and movement.

Story from the beginnings

There is my storyboard (ver.1)

This story is mainly tells people should treasure time. There is Time fairy who will take your time away, when you waste time, time will gone secretly. it is a metaphor to show why time is always disappear. But the message for my story is not clear and for some places of those shots are too boring. So I need to refine on the story.

References color scheme

As I will animate my characters in flash, want to use bright and sharp color for my character design and background design. Below is the color scheme for my work.

I learnt from some graphic/product design, they are Bunny King & Under the bed, I find that they use pure and warm color to bring out comfort sense, and then for some monster cartoon, special and magical locations, they may use sharp and strong color tone, it can express how fantastic the scene is......


In my story, there are two parts, one is Bob still at his home(before enter the Time's world), the other one is after Bob enters the fantastic Time's world. I want to separate the two parts,
so I will apply different color tone and outline for those scenes, characters and backgrounds.
